Shelly the turtle is the oldest Zooba inhabitant. She values peace and quiet; her favorite pastime is tai chi. Few things make her angry, such as human loitering, and she is terrified of mobile phones, which are sometimes dropped into her pen. Her dream is to master the “shell reversion” technique, a move that would render her invulnerable to being belly up, fatal for turtles. In her failed attempts, her best friend Lizzy helps her get back on her feet.

Strategy[]
Shelly is a problematic character to play due to her slow speed and short-falling health effectively, but as a player whose best character is Shelly, I've managed to adapt to it. If you like Ollie, Shelly isn't all that different. The primary strategy for Shelly is to use your focus shot crossbow. A crossbow is an essential tool Shelly has. Whenever you can, scope out the surrounding area with your crossbow. Feel free to hit any characters you see if you're ready for a fight. Shelly isn't excellent up close, so Knockback Spear and Nitro Arrow are good items to equip on Shelly and a nitro shotgun. You might think, well, how come Shelly isn't good up close?
Two of her weapons are close range. Well, yeah. However, if you use Knockback Spear, you can knock an opponent backward that extra bit, then let at them with your shotgun for more damage, and then to finish them off, blast them with a focused snipe with a focus shot crossbow. Shelly is not a fast character, so Jungle Boots and Holy Sandals are also good items. In combat, if, say, a Nix or a Pepper throws their grenade at you, use your shell. You can entirely evade that damage, and if the enemy comes closer to you, you can ready your shotgun and spear and let them have it. There are many moments like that where the shell is life-saving. The only time you don't want to use it is against a close-range character such as Bruce or Jade. They will wait for you to emerge and let at it with everything they have. Finally, if you aren't playing Shelly very well, don't be afraid to use someone else. Shelly is hard to play and (In my opinion) needs a slight buff, if not a big one. If you aren't having fun, then Shelly isn't for you.
Jade[]
Use your bow and spear to damage her. If she uses her ability, quickly use her ability, or you can become tiger food.

Trivia[]
Shelly's shell makes up most of her height, and if you turn her sideways, you will see her head sticks out and isn't flat!
Shelly, while in her shell, can withstand Buck's charge! She just gets tossed into the air and suffers no damage.
When using School's Out Shelly, you can hear electronic music supposedly coming from her headphones!
Shelly is one of the two characters that may not suffer from damage when using her active ability, the other one being Milo (Milo may still suffer from fire)
The character drawing of Shelly's shell shows spirals, but the menu or in-game does not show them.
